It is essential for us to produce furniture that not only meets aesthetic and functional needs but also minimizes environmental impact. High-quality materials and considerate production practices contribute to a product's longevity, reducing the frequency of replacement, and thereby represent a more responsible solution.

Sustainably Sourced FSC ™️ Wood

We use FSC-certified wood in our own production facilities. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification ensures that wood is harvested from responsibly managed forests. FSC is the world’s most respected and widespread forest certification system. By 2025, our goals are to use 100% sustainable certified wood in all our products containing wood.

OEKO-TEX ®

Depended on customer requirements, we can use OEKO-TEX foam and use other OEKO-TEX materials such as fabrics. The OEKO-TEX certification ensures that the materials meet stringent criteria for chemical safety and environmental impact, making it a preferred choice for conscious consumers and manufacturers.

Textiles

The fabrics are a large part of the identity of a sofa or chair design. At Actona Group, we work with more than 3000 different fabrics dependent on product and customer specifications. A majority of fabrics are stocked in our own warehouses, supplied directly from textile producers and suppliers around the world.
From technical fabrics to recycled or natural luxury fabrics, we will ensure that your design and fabrics are compatible and can handle the challenges of daily life. We test each fabric for stretch and durability to ensure it meets the product’s needs and high-quality level.

We promote working with OEKO-TEX® 100 certified fabrics to ensure high safety standards for harmful substances. 

Leathers

At Actona Group, we take pride in using high-quality natural leathers. We utilize 15,500 square meters of natural leather each month in our production process. This substantial volume of leather facrics is meticulously stored under optimal conditions in our own warehouses to ensure the leather maintains its premium quality and durability.

Our dedication to natural leather highlights our emphasis on craftsmanship in furniture production, whether utilising natural or protected leathers sourced from around the world.

Packaging

Our commitment to reducing environmental impact extends beyond design and product development to include packaging. We ensure our packaging minimizes environmental harm while protecting products during transit and delivery. We are continually improving these standards. Currently, all our furniture cardboard boxes are made with fully or partially recycled materials or are FSC™-certified.

We are also proudly using the majority of our plastic materials from recycled materials fx. Our bubble wrap, PE foam and packaging corners have up to 100% recycled content. Additionally, we are phasing out Styrofoam in all new product packaging.
